How to Choose the Right Camping Stove

In this article, I'll review the different things you should look for in a camping stove / hiking. I look at what is important and what is not, why you should take care to get the best camping stove there.

Camping and hiking can be wonderful, but after a long journey through the desert, you might feel like you have a hot meal. Of course, you can make a fire keep you warm and boil water, but a hot meal would be good. There is no faster and easier to use as well as a camping / backpacking stove.

Regarding choosing the right camping / backpacking stove you need a number of factors, including when you use the stove to examine how you need it, as well as other factors such as the nature of the fuel bringing you, may need to use to turn on the water heater. Now I'll show you three key factors to getting good.

1. Main types of fuel

Coach - For short stays, camp stove or propane-isobutane fuel systems are good.

- Pro: These are compact units and also good to use.
- Con: On the other hand, they cost a lot and the fuel is difficult to estimate.

The liquid fuel - white gas, also known as naphtha, which greatly refined, works well at high altitude and extremely cold temperatures.

- Pro: Ideal for cold temperatures and high altitude
- Con: Liquid fuel systems are heavier and require boot option

Wood (as an alternative fuel source) - Optional Wood is ideal for long distance rides and very light

- Pro: The wood is easy to source, even if you are traveling.
- Con: Need constant attention; difficult to control, especially in windy conditions

The alcohol (as an alternative fuel source) - You can find alcohol in the most remote areas where walking or hiking is common. Look denatured alcohol, high alcohol content preferably ethanol. Never methanol is toxic.

- Pro: generally available in different countries and it is also a wide range of systems
- Con: If alcohol is not pure enough, it may produce heavy soot.

Fuel (as an alternative fuel source) - These are compact in hexamine fuel tablets. They are lightweight and great for emergencies.

- Pro: Lightweight and easy to stabbing
- Con: they burn brief and often more expensive than other systems
When you have decided on the fuel can now look at other factors that make a perfect stove.

2. What should be your camping / backpacking stove?

The size of your camping stove hiking depends on how many people you will be cooking for. In general, there are two to choose from: A two-burner that is on a table or a freestanding stove

- Group 4 or less

For small groups of people camping or hiking for several days, two compact burner works fine. Look for a camping stove that is lightweight, fits easily in the trunk of your car and has enough power to cook to suit a small group. With Chief Coleman Everest you can get a 16-ounce box or use a larger propane tank. Space is limited for this model so make sure the usable cooking space corresponds to your pot. Some products can host a "pan and others can provide the same pan size further with the wind shutters. There are models that can fit two 12" 12 pan size so before buying a camping stove, lend attention to dimensions but remember they can help you determine if the stove has enough cooking space. The size and location of the burner is a good indication of the usable cooking area on the stove.

- 8 and Group

Eight is a great number, and you may need more than a standard two stove burners. Freestanding models are perfect for large groups. The advantage is that they do not require a table. Check cookers powerful burners and preparation trays, allowing you to add more cooking space. You must keep in mind that taking autonomous stoves time to pack and unpack and they take up much space. If space is an issue, you may want to get two stoves two compact burners.

- Groups of seven or less,

If you are a support group, seven media, choosing the right camping stove can be difficult. It can be helpful to know what you cook, or how long you expect to be out will be in the desert. Start with a two burner stove and the increase include increased as requirements. A freestanding burner may be too bulky to lug around and a lot of hassle and can be mounted. With a two-burner stove you food that you would normally cook at home and cook a meal of pasta and sauce.

Coleman and other brands offer different versions of the stove with two burners. Unlike these embodiments, space for the container. Standard versions work well for small families or groups, but with a little creativity can be used for cooking, even for as many as ten people. A campfire can always be used to heat some food.

3. BTU Power

The strength of a camping stove is measured by the number of BTU (British Thermal Units) there. BTU is a measure of the amount of energy for heating or cooling of one pound of water one degree Fahrenheit. So more BTU has a camping stove, the more power. That would be the only factor you consider buying a camping stove, you must also consider the cooking space does not become.

- Look at the time that is necessary to boil water

All heating appliances should be able to cook like temperature, wind conditions ideal and moderate the group quite manageable. However, before choosing a camping stove you need to know how fast the water could boil. This is crucial if you have a large group and time is of the essence. Boiling water for your morning coffee should not be a two-hour event. The BTU should suffice, but it is not always the case.

- The power and strength Simmering

Most products are tested can boil water fairly quickly, but they are not able to maintain a small flame quiet. You should look for a model that can boil water quickly, but also to keep a small flame without extinguishing when the burner is reduced. The fact that you use a camp stove does not mean that you should expect any less than to operate your stove at home.

Regarding things, the air resistance are simpler. You can buy a camping stove with a windshield or you can give up the windshield and make your own by putting your stove in a protected area. If you are camping up very windy, then it is best to invest in a pan with a torch and a windshield.

If you like camping and enjoy the food and cooking, you must choose a product that really meets your needs. Remember that your heater that can last as long as you need.

add comfort
additional heat
help maintain body temperature
keep you dry
They are an add-on when you need comfort and keep the useful warm. One of the biggest risks camping in cold temperatures is hypothermia. A pad camping ads an extra layer of insulation and padding to help the body maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the night.

When your looking for a camping pad to launch these two items, depreciation and isolation are the number one factor to keep in mind when buying one. However, there are other important things to keep in mind if you are focused on your purchase.

1) How much padding you need? If you are a small or bigger person?

2) Consider the size of your sleeping bag, length and width

Winter Camping in California

You can not resist the call of nature? Summer does not seem to expect too far to hit the great outdoors? Many people think of camping as a summer activity, but for many of us that we can not expect half of the year before returning to the public square. Fortunately, California has many fantastic places to camp during the winter months. Winter camping is usually cheaper and less crowded than the camping in the summer and you also get the experience of California in a very different way.

California has blessed us to live outdoor enthusiasts with a variety of different landscapes and climates. And while the high mountain ranges are covered with snow, the Mojave Desert and get Pacific Coast RV advice and experience from their winter beauty. The beach is usually the best place to go to escape the cold winters in the interior, thanks to the mild temperatures experienced throughout the year. Of course, for the truly adventurous, there are also opportunities for camping snow in the higher elevations, so why not pair a ski trip with a camping trip? No matter where you choose, these places are nothing short of amazing, very few people have seen this beauty in winter. They call for you to come visit!

Angel Island - Northern California / San Francisco Bay Area

As a Bay Area resident, I am very attached to Angel Island ... if it was not packed with people. It is a quick trip to everyone in the area Bay Area Sacramento and has an absolutely spectacular view of the bay of San Francisco, including the Skyline of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Bridge and giving Tiburon Sausalito. Rain and dense fog are common in the area in the winter window, but temperatures are pleasantly mild compared to the rest of Northern California. The last five years have been very dry winters in the bay, with the terrible drought we saw the experience, but this El Nino year has already poured rain throughout the country, so expect wet weather if you choose Angel Island to visit this winter. From December to March daytime high temperatures average 56-61 degrees Fahrenheit and nighttime lows average 41-45 degrees Fahrenheit, so there's really not much difference between day and night. The east side of the island is better protected from the sea breeze, but the western side gives a view of the first row of magnificent sunsets under the Golden Gate Bridge. East Bay locations and sites Sunrise are located on the eastern coast of the island, near Fort McDowell. Sites and Kayak Ridge Camp is located on the west side of the island near Camp Reynolds. For more information on the camp brochure here and park map from the park website. Note that some of the information is outdated, but most of it is still relevant.

Getting to Angel Island is half the fun of travel. Ferries from Tiburon Ferry across the island and Angel Pier 41 and the Ferry Building in San Francisco via the blue and gold fleet. Adult tickets are $ 15 $ 9 Tiburon and San Francisco. These rates are the entrance of the park as well. Note that these ferries operate only during the winter months on the weekends, so the sooner you can get to Saturday morning of the island and the last you can stay on Sunday afternoon, unless you plan to stay all week. But there are other options! You can use your own boat or borrow from a friend. Or if you're like me and do not own a boat, you can rent a private boat or take Tideline Water Taxi. Tideline is a good option, it is quite expensive, but it is still cheaper than renting a boat offering the most personal calendar and service, so you will not be limited by time.

Big Sur - Central Coast

Big Sur on California's Central Coast is a gem. He embodies the beauty of California wild Pacific coast has to offer. Hundred feet sequoia, nature trails and miles of beaches, Big Sur has everything. And thanks to the proximity of the ocean remains relatively mild in winter, with high average temperatures from December to March, from 60-63 degrees Fahrenheit and the average low temperature around 43 degrees Fahrenheit. As always, in winter, you should be prepared for rain, heavy fog and ocean breezes. Big Sur is very busy during the summer months, but dispersed the crowd in winter, allowing you to explore with miles of deserted beaches and trails.

Perhaps the most amazing part about winter camping in Big Sur is an opportunity to watch the majestic gray whales migrate between Alaska and Baja California. December to early February to see pull whales to the south, and began in February, you see them migrate north with their newborn calves. It is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

Big Sur has many campsites that you can find here. To those I would of you looking for a little more warmth and comfort represent a campground with cabins, like the houses Big Sur campgrounds or Riverside Campground. Both sites offer excellent tents and RV sites in addition to their cabin accommodation. Another recommendation for tent and RV camping is Kirk Creek Campground. Kirk Creek is a beautiful site located on a huge cliff overlooking the ocean. Due to the open position is capable of strong wind and moisture to prepare for that if you choose to stay.

Lake Tahoe - Northern California / Sierra Nevada

For those who really want to experience the winter, when snow camping on the shores of Lake Tahoe is right for you. During the summer months, Lake Tahoe is one of the most popular camping destinations in the world. During the winter months, it is one of the most popular ski destinations in the world. Basically, Lake Tahoe is big and everyone wants, no matter what month it is.

Sugar Pine Point State Park on the west shore of Lake Tahoe offers the best of both worlds. The camp is one of the few campsites in the open area during the winter months for snow camping, and it is ideally located just minutes from some of the largest ski resorts in the world. Homewood Resort (8 min), Squaw Valley Resort and Alpine Meadows (32 minutes), Heavenly Mountain Resort (45 minutes) and Northstar California Resort (50 minutes) all within an hour's drive from the campsite. Site Sugar Pine is also a good choice for first snow campers because it is off the beaten track, so every available nearby.

Sugar Pine Point State Park also offers some of the best backgrounds and snowshoeing skiing to offer the Lake Tahoe area, all with easy access from the campsite. In fact, it is these roads that were used for biathlon and cross-country skiing events at the Winter Olympics in 1960 in Squaw Valley.

And if you're still not on the camping tent in the snow, you always have the option to find some great local huts. Airbnb is your best bet to book one of these.

Mt. San Jacinto State Park - Southern California / San Jacinto Mountains

Camping Snow is also easily accessible in Southern California in the beautiful State Park Mt. San Jacinto. Idyllwild Park offers camping all year. Camping Tents and RVs are welcome on a first come / first serve basis from November to March. The campground is located less than three hours from Los Angeles and San Diego, making it a great option for those looking for a weekend away from city life. Snowshoeing and sledding are popular activities in the park during the winter months.

There is much to do in and around the State Park. Including a visit to different parts of the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument or walk part of the Pacific Crest Trail. You can even an afternoon ride the famous Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, you Chino Canyon near Palm Springs, an increase of nearly 6,000 feet to the resort's summit.

Death Valley National Park - Southern California / Mojave Desert

Death Valley is amazing. The 12 July 2012 Furnace Creek in Death Valley National Park hit a record heat when the low temperature was 103 degrees Fahrenheit, equaling the world record for the highest temperature low in a day. Then on July 10, 2013 Furnace Creek broke another record high temperature heat of 134 degrees Fahrenheit (!!!), breaking the US state earlier in 1913. Needless to say, you will not face this infernal temperature during the winter months, in fact, Death Valley is downright pleasant in winter. high average time from December to March range 67-81 degrees fahrenheit below average from 38-53 degrees Fahrenheit.

From Death Valley is in the desert is subject to large fluctuations in the temperature dropped below zero with night minimum. This is where winter camping generally differs from the winter. In the desert, temperatures can fluctuate from day to night, as temperatures remain relatively stable near the ocean.

Tent and RV camping is available at Furnace Creek RV Park and Campground Fiddler $ 18 / night or in Mesquite Spring for $ 12 per night. Both campgrounds are RV dump stations and toilets. Tent campers can stay in Emigrant or Wildrose campgrounds. (Note: Wildrose accepts all vehicles under 25 feet tent of Emigrant only)

Joshua Tree National Park - Southern California / Mojave Desert

Another destination of wild camping in Joshua Tree National Park Southern California. The park is easily accessible, located only about 2.5 to 3.5 hours from Los Angeles (depending on traffic of course). Like Death Valley, Joshua Tree is located in the desert, so it can be blistering hot during the summer months, it is very pleasant in winter. With high average temperatures from January to March, ranging from 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit and the average low temperature of 35-42 degrees Fahrenheit. For a list of all campsites in Joshua Tree National Park look here. A campsite in the northern part of the park, I propose Jumbo Rocks Campground, it costs $ 15 / night first come / first served basis. There is no water and only dry toilets at Jumbo Rocks Campground, so make sure you come prepared. For those looking for a campsite in the southern part of the park, I suggest Cottonwood Campground for $ 20 / night, which has a dump station, water and toilets.

Now you understand that camping in California is both a summer and winter activities. There are many great places to escape the winter, even if there is snow on the ground. Enjoy cheaper rates, shorter time reservation and uncrowded campgrounds, while you can before the end of winter. Camping in California never takes a break for the season!

8 Tips for Camping in the snow

Camping in the snow adds fun new set and new challenges to the normal routine of camp. Of course, it is colder and colder winter weather, the more things you have to pack it in. telemark skis, skins, snowshoes, crampons, several layers, a thicker sleeping bag, the list is long and you weigh 80 pounds, you know the backpack. Well this  is the season for snow camping, so I have some tips to help the novice try to camp in the snow for the first time or enter some new tricks along the wild veterinarian.

1. Prepare for the Worst

With roads covered with ice and snow, it is your job to decide how you are going to do and the camp alive. Unlike the summer, when trails are clearly recognizable, marked by signs, and many people on the road, the winter has zero people on the road and everything is under several feet of snow. Before even out the door, you need a detailed map to study and know the most striking features of the terrain. Understand that even though it looks like a winter landscape, it can turn into hell very quickly. This time, the storms of the year can white out of the area in a few minutes and is very easy to get disoriented. Thick clouds and storms may also be possible to pay the recording of a GPS, so that the old map and compass can be life. Do not be afraid to take shelter and wait until the storm. People have survived several days to build a snow cave.

2. Meet Camp- Skis vs Snow Shoes

Once you're ready to walk through a blizzard opposite, determine the method of travel you want to use. Of course we all want to get the snow mobile, but it is not an option and we are certainly not places holing our way to the camp. Cross-country ski / hiking alpine skis or telemark skis are the fastest way to the camp for free on rough terrain. The back heel releases the connection allowing you to walk in a sliding movement to climb a mountain. With skins attached to the base of your skis, you can easily walk once you learn. You click the link to downhill skiing with skis heel. Teles be much more difficult to ski downhill and require a working method to the difficult runs. Skis can also be used to hold a tent or help build a shelter. Although highly effective, able to use very heavy skis and difficult at first. If a ski or binding breaks, but also to solve much more difficult than a strap on a snowshoe hike. Ski boots are terrible around the camp, if you need to pack in boots or freeze your feet. Snowshoes although in a way groundcover much slower, it is more convenient for camping in the snow. Snowshoes can be used by anyone, clip in a boat, have crampon soils are much lighter than skis and you can even make a couple with a little ingenuity. Although I prefer skis and a heavier pack, I recommend you go snowshoeing for your first snow camping.

3. Build the perfect Camp / Tent Shelter vs Bivy

Now that you have made in the camp, you can not whip the old tent and throw it on the floor as if the summer. Remember you stand on several feet of snow. You need to pack the snow or dig. This provides a nice solid base and generally blocks the wind. Use your skis, snowshoes or shovel to pack the snow down enough to where you can jump into without drilling a hole. Or find an area with less snow, as in the vicinity of the base of a tree and dig snow. Never sleep directly on snow, use a floor mat! During the night, the snow under your body will slowly melt and flow you. Well, if you decided to just throw your tent down and get on the floor of the tent can turn. Your tent will probably decide to contract you to rip about 2:00. Now all your stuff is covered with snow and frost. Once you prepare the perfect base for a bivouac or tent to time. Collect fire of extra material to the case, even in places where no fire allowed. Stake your tent or tent buried lines in the snow. Build a fence wall stones snow or branches to wind blown snow to drift. It's a terrible feeling unsafe and being buried alive awakened by snow in your bivouac. It's a mistake I'll only do it once. In my experience, a tent is luxurious and it is nice to be indoors when the weather turns bad, but I usually just roll with the bivouac. It helps me cut down on the weight and volume in my bag and it usually makes me build my website a little better.

4. Difficulty with food and water

Once the camp was set up already, it's time to get a hot meal and a refreshing drink of water. Then your Nalgene open a block of ice and you Jet Boil will not light. Well simply that your water bottle needs insulted as a bus Jet Boil. Hold the can around your body when you walk in, and use a small foam mat for cooking instead of placing the bus directly on the snow. Place your water bottles upside down in the insulating cover and the ground freezes up. Then you heat the remaining water to frozen water or use it to melt snow. You will need to have a small amount of water to melt the snow. If you try to melt snow directly in an oven, it will only burn the snow. You can also add or Gatorade packets of lemonade to your water to lower the freezing temperature of water. Apply a lighter to your Jet Boil light the fuse on the Jet Boil seems to have the biggest problems. Jet Boil claims they operate at 26,000 feet. I have successfully used mine to 14,000 feet and it took about 4-5 minutes to boil water. If you decide to leave a mountain home, make use of the small pro-pak, they will not grow at high altitudes. Also, never eat snow when you are thirsty. It will only bring you down the temperature of your heart and make your body work harder to warm you up, making you more dehydrated!

5. Take care of your stuff and your stuff will take care of you

It is very important to stop a problem before it even began camping in the snow and freezing temperatures. In summer it is nice if you get goods drenched by the rain, but you can kill in the damp winter fabric. Down loses its insulating properties when wet. Use a large brush to clean all the snow from your boots, outer layers of clothing, tents, etc. Snow will just keep accumulating like dirt if you do not want to clean out, then all your stuff ends up wet. Use vapor for your bag and boots sleep. Using vapor barrier socks can keep your feet sweat in your boots, because the sweat will make you freeze your boots in the morning. A vapor barrier for your sleeping bag can keep condensation to build in your bag, and although I never knew, maybe put your sleeping bag in a frozen rock. The weather can turn your sleeping bag inside every day and let them dry in the sun on top of a tent or a tree branch. Get a sleeping bag in black and it will be very soon enjoy the warmth. Change your sweaty stuff every night, especially socks, gloves and a hat. Keep all your equipment will also clean as possible and free of moisture to work effectively.

6. Block the sun and wind

Even if it is 10 degrees below, you still need protection from the sun during the summer. In the snow you are hit by sunlight from all sides because of the snow because of radiation. Always wear sunglasses or goggles or you can literally go blind. Apply sunscreen in places you would not normally think of as such under your chin or under your nose. It is very painful when the skin under your nose is dry, cracked, wind / sun burn and keep you rub your glove cause your nose runs. Every day, all day, you must apply the lotion on your hands, face and feet to keep them from drying and keep cracking. Apply a large amount of lip balm and wear protective clothing such as balaclavas wind. Petroleum jelly can also be used to conserve heat or to act as a barrier against the wind.

7. Keep Snow Out

As you walk around to find all day in the snow, the snow will try avoid unnecessary wet socks, glove liners or ancestries its way into your boots, gloves, neck, etc. Keep the snow outside. Wear pants with elastic bottom which also has a cord to keep them down around your boots. Place gaiters snow on top and prevent all the snow boots. Make sure your outer layer glove also prevented cord snow that your glove while working around the camp. A neck and hood cover to prevent snow from entering around your neck. Stay dry to stay warm.

8. Pee before bed and have a pee bottle

This tip may sound ridiculous, but there is nothing more annoying than being delivered complete and comfortable in your sleeping bag and then you have to pee in the middle of the night. You not only lose heat can build up in your sleeping bag, but you need to put boots to go outside. These are not the hot summer months, where you can quickly toe beats a tree bare feet. Now it snow with a constant wind outside and you have to boots, snowshoes, gloves, etc just to pee round. So having a clear bottle to pee in your sleeping bag is a lifeline. Ladies, I'm sorry, but you can always leave the tent, unless you have an amazing goal.

Camping in the snow is a wild and liberating experience. I hope these tips will help you go camping more at this time of the year! Please advice or tips that you used when sharing camping in the snow, I would teach them. 10 hiking and camping grounds should be your New Year's resolution!

Each new year, we hear people say a million different resolutions that will change their lives. Some come resolutions classic clichés in shape, save more money, travel more, or even find love. I think if you agree to get off the couch and outdoors, you can answer all your resolutions and more! Think of the pure mountain air, panoramic views, and mountain man skills / woman that you can learn by spending several nights under the stars! Here are 10 reasons hiking and camping should be your New Year's resolution.

1. No need for a gym membership

With everyone wasting their hard earned money on a gym membership, they will stop using it within two months, the change will last. While wearing a pack of 20 lb on a walking uphill, you just need to burn as many calories as you would in the gym, if you put in the effort. In addition, avoiding joining the fitness of nature, you get all take selfie mirror meat heads Kardashian wannabes. And the best part is that your membership is free, and much more interesting.

2. Get better sleep

Sleep under the stars with the sounds of nature to relax and reset your soul. Leave behind the stress of your 9-5 job and you hard, cramped apartment in the city for a night in the wild. I guarantee sleep after a night under the stars, you wake up refreshed, with a renewed sense of life. Some of my best sleep, having been all night on the floor in a sleeping bag.

3. Eat healthy

It's hard to eat fast food if you are on a three-day trek. If you resist the urge, you will not even want more. With a little ingenuity, you can catch fresh fish, gather greens and nuts, all while towing. It is impossible, but it's hard unhealthy to eat on a camping trip, unless you have a lot of whiskey and s'mores like answer.

4. New Challenges

Every year I hear people talk about all the elements of the bucket list, they want to check their lists. This is the year to make a list of challenges and overcome them. You can walk a peak of 12,000 feet, a famous hiking trail, or just sleep for a night in a tent under the stars. Whatever your skill level, make sure you challenge yourself to conquer new adventures this year. Make reasonable walking goals you know you can accomplish this year, pushing yourself a little further each new adventure!

5. Save Money

Buy camping and hiking equipment can be expensive at first, but once you get everything you need, you can load a boat to save money. It is impossible to spend money when you enjoy the track, a multi-day excursion. Find stuff used on flea markets or borrow things from friends to keep your small investment. You can also try carpooling with friends on your next adventure to save money on gas. An evening drinking beer around a campfire, is about $ 100 less than a Saturday night in the bar.

6. Spend more time with family and friends

Once a year at Christmas, I see most of my family and friends. Every year I hear how my family and friends want to sit or go visit often. I say, go for it! Planning a trip and get on track! You can even show the new skills you have learned. You can not bring the kids around the table for family dinner or get them to turn their phones off for two seconds? The solution is to get around a campfire without cell service! They can hate at first, but they'll love after roasting marshmallows and hot chocolate.

7. Travel More

Every year, people talk about traveling to magnificent places like California, New York, Europe, etc. How about using all hiking and camping in your own yard first. Get off the couch and get outside more! Perhaps the year to go to Europe, but if not, a visit famous rides like the John Muir Trail, Pacific Crest Trail and the Appalachian Trail.

8. Detox! Stop smoking and drinking (or maybe drink a little less)

If you like smoking or drinking, and it does not bother your daily life, then by all means do what makes you happy. But if you're ready to leave, then this year's march and the camp will end this bad habit. If you smoke in the car, and you walk up to a few miles to the camp, you just have to do without them. Camping and hiking can be so relaxing that it can remove the need for nicotine or alcohol. Breath fresh mountain air and drink clean water from the mountain.

9. Learn a new skill

Whether you are an expert climber or new to camping together, you can never stop learning. Find a skill that you find difficult or skill that you paid in, and find a way to get better. If you are beginner, then the world is your oyster! Choose a hiking or camping adventure and go there. It's amazing how you feel summiting your first mountain, making your first fire, or just camping for the first time.

10. Find love!

This is a significant find other year! Hiking trails and campfires are perfect places to meet new people with similar interests. People who like to get outdoors are mostly positive, optimistic, and fit. And if you can not find your true love, at least you'll fall in love with the great outdoors! Win.Win.

Good luck with the resolution of your New Year, I wish you hiking and camping fun this year.

Guide to choose the right bed Camping

While camping cots are not for everyone, they are to consider and offer many advantages for others. For those who prefer the comfort of "hard", camping beds allow to avoid sleeping on the floor. While an air mattress also offers this opportunity, beds definitely have their advantages. When purchasing any type of gear and camping equipment, there are advantages and disadvantages. In most cases, it is important for the following questions for yourself:

Is it necessary or not?
we really need to make the most comfortable and pleasant journey?
advantages:

Sleeping is avoided on uneven ground. An air mattress is also the same comfort, but bumps are often still being felt.
Avoid, crawly insects and crawling insects is an advantage for most campers.
Unlike an air mattress or a cot, beds provide plenty of storage underneath for gear and equipment.
Provides limited pressure on the joints when getting in and out of bed This is particularly important for campers with arthritis.
Although a carpet or mattress can still be useful above a bed for extra insulation, the ground is an advantage for cold weather camping.
Because a crib is not far from the land, to avoid condensation problems and if the floor of your tent is wet or moist, you are not affected.
Cots assume much more easily than the air mattress and a tent.
against:

For backpack and hiking trails, campers, beds can be a bit on the heavy side. Although many lightweight versions can be found, such as campers usually prefer a carpet or rug.
While the space under the bed is very suitable for storage and ventilation in summer, but also in a state of cold air in the winter months.
Some beds can not be comfortable without an air mattress or cushion on top.
Most beds are not made to be followed for 2 persons, an air bed has 2 people models.
Ultimately, the decision is yours! How do you prefer to camp? Want to walk in camping? Do you even sleeping on the floor? By taking the decision to buy a crib, consider the following:

The weight of the nativity scene.
How they are at a distance and a package store.
How they set.
The weight they will support.
And finally, make sure to examine the kind of cradle you examine read.

Camping shop for family camping tents

There are many reasons to take the family on a camping trip. Quality time, memories become part of the family tradition, tenting can be done on a beach, the desert, mountains and forests, or even the backyard. The cost of campgrounds in comparison to the cost of the rooms is a real trading business. Another reason to start the campground is the health and relaxation. A load of the car, setting up the camp, find your own firewood and take your campsite moves more than you could ever think of. As for relaxation, when the chores done and you are relaxing around the fire with your family the rest to bring you peace and tranquility for you.

When buying a tent for family camping I have some information to include must be considered:

When choosing a tent, there are several things to consider. If there are small children in the family, you may want to get a larger tent. There are several drawbacks to buying a tent larger than weight. Hang around the tent of the car for camping can be a little too much exercise. The bulk size can also pack the car more difficult. Find a regional level and large enough for the tent is also a factor that should tents on a flat surface, if possible. Another reason is privacy when children are younger, there is no problem, but as they age, they may have their own privacy.

In principle, the tents come in four different forms. The A-frame umbrella, surveying or "dome", and wall tents. The A-frame is a kind of pup tent, but can come in large sizes. The tent umbrella is usually used as a family camping tent, as it has plenty of room standing with large windows and a rain fly on top. The geodetic has many forms, but they seem to be connected combination of triangles, while the wall of the tent is a tent-like A-frame, but is generally larger and vertical sidewalls. It is best to get a tent with square, as they are more effective in preparing your bedroom and other gear.

tent poles come aluminum or fiberglass, and most of them are connected to each other with an elastic rubber band to make it easier to implement. Many emergency tents repair manufacturers of links for you to carry along on the trip as poles are prone to bending or breaking.

Most tents are now made from nylon waterproof coating to water, with nylon mesh used for interior walls. Most of the best tents-see-um mesh used for window screens and the use of thicker fabric or rip-stop fabric.

Test the zippers in the purchase is a priority because they must open and close freely and does not catch and connect to the web. zipper closures are made of a material that will not rust.

Another item on the agenda are the seams as they should be reinforced with nylon tape. The strip should be sewn in each seam to make the seam stronger and more weather resistant. The seams in a tent like nylon in the fly and floor must be impregnated with a seam sealer. New tents should come with a bottle of sealant if one must be purchased. It is usually a good idea to apply to set up your tent in the garden for the beginning of your trip and the sealer. You should always let the sealer to dry before you pack the tent. The re-sealing of the joints should be done on an annual basis before your camping trip.
